The photo above smells like the studio. It's part of the revolving/evolving still-life that sits on top of the playback monitors. It's a sort of an indicator of what's to come on those days when we go back and "check the tape" from the day before. It's really the best way to work. Finally, Through the Sparks' "Alamalibu" EP is printed and ready to go. We're pleased to make it available for early purchase to those of you who've once signed our mailing list and have been with us for a while. Everything was done in-house again, cover-art and all, so we dubbed it "Alamalibu," the name of our studio.
Everything, that is, except for the mastering (but that would be like doing home-dental-work and we've learned our lesson in that respect.)

I don't think it should be a secret, but apparently it is. Next weekend, a new festival in Birmingham will emerge showcasing local, region and a few national bands and comedians called Secret Stages . We are excited to partake in this maiden voyage. On May 13th, Through the Sparks will be performing on the Miller Light stage at 10:15pm, opening for the Love Language (who personally I can't wait to see).
